Is laser eye surgery safe?

More and more people are deciding to have their eyes lasered so that they can stop wearing glasses or contact lenses.

One question that people frequently ask is whether laser eye surgery is safe.
The current lasers have a beam of 1 mm in diameter, enabling the surface of the cornea to be changed with micrometric precision. That guarantees reliable results in terms of safety, stability and efficacy.
The results of all Lasik procedures and Lasik experiences were closely monitored in a specific programme (Datagraph).

Complications only occurred in 7 out of 1000 cases.
With the right approach these problems can be quickly resolved and the treatment repeated.
The surgical risks inherent in every operation are therefore very limited with Lasik treatment.
At least, if an experienced surgeon like Dr. Vryghem performs the procedure.
