Professor Ioannis Pallikaris has invited Doctor Vryghem to be one of the eight main speakers of the European Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS) symposium during the Aegean Cornea Meeting from 1-3 July 2016 in Crete, Greece.
Professor Pallikaris has invented LASIK, the most commonly refractive procedure in the world, 25 years ago. This symposium has been set up to commemorate the 25th anniversary of LASIK.
The theme of the Meeting is '25 Years of LASIK, the Transition'. Doctor Vryghem will give a talk on LASIK: past, present and future.
